ŠKODA AUTO raised price of most models from Dec 1

Carmaker ŠKODA AUTO raised the price of most of its offered models from December 1, 2014. ŠKODA Fabia third generation, which is currently being launched, was one of the models that have avoided the price hike. On the other hand, the price of most equipment and engine versions of the Octavia and Superb models was raised by CZK 8,000. ŠKODA Rapid costs CZK 5,000 more, ŠKODA Yeti up to CZK 15,000 more and ŠKODA Citigo CZK 8,500 more. The spokesperson for the company, Vítězslav Pelc, has told ČIANEWS that ŠKODA AUTO responds with its new recommended pricing policy to negative external influences and is more transparent towards customers. No other extra costs – such as car preparation or transport to dealer – will be charged to the final price in the whole sales network in the Czech Republic. The price adjustments apply also to the CNG models. The price of the Citigo G-TEC increased by CZK 8,500, while Octavia G-TEC costs CZK 8,000 more.
