Markit: PMI drops to 55.5 points in September

The Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for the Czech Republic dropped to 55.5 points in September 2015 from 56.6 points in August, according to the data from Markit/HSBC. The pace of growth of new contracts decreased for Czech manufacturers, which led to lower production growth. Employment in the sector continued to increase. Purchasing activities grew at the slowest pace in nine months. The prices of inputs dropped for the first time in seven months and the prices of outputs dropped for the first time in six months, which the respondents connected primarily with the lower price of crude oil.
