Prague College, one of the Czech Republic’s leading English language universities, held its biggest ever graduation ceremony on Saturday, 14 November, with a total of 235 students taking their diplomas and degrees at the Narodni Dum (National House) in Prague's Vinohrady. Friends and families were also invited to the occasion, which was addressed by Dr Aulay Mackenzie, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Teesside University, Prague College's academic partner in the UK.
In all, twenty-five students graduated with Master's degrees, and a further ninety-eight with honours degrees at Bachelor's level. A further hundred students received diplomas including Higher National Diplomas and Professional Diplomas for working students. First class honours degrees at Bachelor level were awarded to six students and Master's degrees with Distinction were awarded to three.
Talking about the results, Douglas Hajek, Director of the college, said: 'Prague College is immensely proud to have been part of shaping these young people's futures. We wish all the very best to our exceptional students, and look forward to hearing of their experiences and achievements as they embark on the next stage of their academic or working lives.'
