Things to Think About
By Pepper de Callier
“We become the choices we make in life.” Jeff Bezos
I can think of no other more elegant or succinct way to describe who we become in life than this quote from Jeff Bezos. There is no mystery here. It’s not about circumstances, lucky breaks, genetics, or any other outside influence. It all comes down to the choices one makes in life—accepting personal responsibility for who you become in life. When I introduce this quote and concept, usually in a workshop or speech, I tell people that when they get up and walk out the door today, they will begin to make choices—choices that will either bring them closer to the them they know they can be, or choices that will take them farther away to become someone filled with regrets. How about you? What choices will you make today?
Till next time…
