We here at PragueConnect.cz would like to congratulate our partners at Anglo-American University (AAU) on their new campus, housed in the Thurn-Taxis Palace in the historic district of Malá Strana.
The U.S Ambassador Andrew H. Schapiro talking to AAU's president Assoc. Prof. Alan Krautstengl, Ph.D.
The university invited friends and distinguished guests to an official unveiling ceremony last night. One of the institution’s founders, Jansen Raichl; and even the U.S. ambassador, Andrew Schapiro, among other notables, were on hand to offer their remarks, heartfelt reminisces, and words of optimism for the future. Guests congregated in the central courtyard of the Thurn-Taxis Palace while listening to the Sedlacek Quartet and enjoying a barbeque buffet.
As evidenced by its decision to accommodate an expanding student body with new facilities, as well as its candidacy for accreditation by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges), AAU appears more committed than ever to providing a quality educational experience. The university recently celebrated its 25th anniversary; we can only imagine what the next quarter-of-a-century will bring.
