In the first November week, the Supreme Audit Office (NKÚ) started examining rents paid by state institutions and firms. Investigations, aimed at reducing the total state costs of real estate lease, is to be completed in April 2014. Until recently, NKÚ was criticized for paying exceeding rent for headquarters in Holešovice, Prague. According to a new contract, its annual payments decreased from CZK 78 million to CZK 17 million.
