An earlier edition in Prague was a success for both job seekers and companies

Many companies in the Czech Republic are actively seeking people with language skills to join their teams. The Multilingual Job Fair Brno Powered by Daily Monitor will be held in the South Moravian capital Feb. 25, 2017, from 10 am to 4:30 pm at the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University. Entry is free for people who are registered for the event.

The event is intended for the international audience in Brno, such as people with language skills, international education and professional background. Students, graduates and professionals are welcome, and should bring CVs or resumes.

People attending will have the opportunity to meet employers seeking multilingual candidates; hand resumes to company representatives; find out about the hiring procedure; compare employers, available job opportunities and discover the demand for their skills; and learn about new job opportunities.

Confirmed companies so far book retailer Amazon, online travel agency, formerly known as Skypicker, telecom firm Deutsche Telekom, recruitment agency Dorset, automotive sector software firm CDK Global and recruitment firm GoodCall for Talent.

There is also a side program where visitors to the fair can get additional information on several topics. Brno Expat Centre will give a presentation on Czech (Business) Culture: Customs and Etiquette in the Office and in Private. Attorneys at law from EXPATLEGAL will hold a workshop explaining how to sign a legally perfect employment contract in Czech Republic. Recruiters from GoodCall will help you to polish your CV and create an outstanding LinkedIn profile. Professionals from will hold a recruiting session to introduce their company and hiring standards.

A previous Multilingual Job Fair held in Prague was quite successful, with many participating companies reporting that they had found a number of candidates with language and other skills that they needed. Companies are not looking for only English. Other world languages are also in demand.

Brno in recent years has become a high tech center with several universities cooperating with industries  and the government. The result is that a number of multinational companies have established branches in the Brno area, and there are also domestic firms that need people with multilingual skills.

The event is in part supported by foreign departments of faculties of Masaryk University: the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Social Studies, and Faculty of Economics and Administration.
