Prague College seminar: Man Disconnected – Motivating Millenials

Prague College, one of the Czech Republic's leading private universities, is delighted to announce that on Thursday, 19th October from 17:30 onwards, it will be hosting yet another high-profile speaker event, this time a seminar on the internet and its impact on our lives entitled “Man Disconnected – Motivating Millenials”.

The seminar, which is being organized in conjunction with the International Business Forum, the independent, non-profit organization with which the College is a long-term partner, will feature a number of high-profile speakers and will open with a short trailer to the critically acclaimed film entitled ‘Children Online’.

Speakers for this event include the famous Czech neurologist, MUDr Martin Stránský, who will discuss the effects of the internet and social media on both our working and personal lives. He will be followed by Dave Gannon, Associate Head of the School of Business at Prague College, who will be talking about the strategies that organisations and managers need to develop in order to overcome the workplace gulf when employing the new millennials, and finally Alex Raiman, the Co-Founder of Keastone Inc, who will discuss the positives that, despite the above, the new millennials and the ‘younger generation’ generally bring to the workplace. The seminar will end with a moderated panel discussion with members of the audience.

Talking about the seminar, Douglas Hajek, the Founder and Director of Prague College said:

‘We are delighted to be able to partner with such a prestigious organization as the International Business Forum and are very happy that together we are able to put together events of this caliber. We believe that these events are extremely important, both for the general public who regularly turn out to listen as well as our students, who can learn so much from hearing from high-profile speakers about real-life issues. This is the second of such joint events and we hope that there will be many more.’

The seminar “Man Disconnected – Motivating Millenials” takes place on Thursday, 19th October 2017 from 17:30 onwards at the Prague College premises (Polská 10, Blanická entrance), and is open to Prague College students and IBF members for free, and to the general public for 200 Kč per head.
