Manager, Lodging Content Operations (Maternity Cover)

The successful candidate will manage a team of Lodging Content Associates located in Prague and is responsible for the onboarding of new hotel partners within the Expedia Central/Eastern Europe region, and the delivery of operational KPIs including high-quality content, product, rates & inventory onto Expedia Inc. sites, supplier engagement /customer service issue management Stakeholder management is a key skill as the successful candidate will work closely with internal & external customers, Market Management, hotel partners, and colleagues from content, media, star ratings, data management, geography, and localization teams, as well as stakeholders from other departments when involved in regional or global projects and initiatives. This role will report into the Director for Central & Eastern Europe within the Global Supply Operations group (GSO). Responsibilities: Build and manage a cohesive team of Lodging Content Associates, providing ongoing training, career path development and soft skills/employee development Perform stakeholder management responsibilities inclusive of influencing at a region, market, or functional level on operational performance matters. Effectively collaborate with internal partners to raise and resolve issues, inclusive of challenges at a site or broader level Participate in budget management matters such as headcount management and morale. Efficiently balance capacity, ensuring that workload is throttled across sites or regions as needed Continuous improvement of processes and workflow analysis Accurate reporting and tracking of operational performance; developing action plans for improvement. Own all key performance metrics, including, but not limited to, average handle times, case age, partner experience Assume other content and project tasks, as assigned by EMEA Director Work Experience and Educational Guidelines: Minimum three years of team management experience in an operational/hospitality/OLTA would be desirable Proven ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment Team-management and/or Project-management experience University degree Travel industry experience Solid understanding of the hotel industry and differing amenities that appear in different types of hotel product Experience with content databases and management tools Core Competencies: Fluency in English, both oral and written Fluency in Polish/Czech/Romanian/Bulgarian or Hungarian desired Excellent skills in communication, cross-team work, and creative solutions Excellent writing, spelling, and grammar skills, with keen attention to detail Able to complete work to program standards by making independent decisions by applying definitions & criteria Excellent skills in MS Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
