Proposal & Estimation Engineer with German

The proposal engineer will be responsible for the preparation of proposals (bids) for Honeywell customers and the related cost estimates for Honeywell Process Solutions hardware, software and project services for the industrial process automation projects. Driven by the diverse business and market opportunities the candidate will be leading a high variety of proposal efforts for projects for new green and brownfield (large) projects and life cycle services in the market of the process automation industry. Responsibilities: Analyze customer requirements and prepare process automation solutions concepts (architectures) as the basis of the Honeywell proposal to the customer Deliver proposals including compliancy responses to customer requirements. Prepare and create documentation in response to customer’s requests for proposals and estimates as directed by the sales and business operational teams, Complete estimates and proposals within required timelines Prepare estimates as accurate as required for the situation as given (budget, firm and fixed, ready for ordering/contract) Ensures proposed solutions are optimal where technical and commercial alternatives are considered to provide high value to the customer but essentially ensure lowest compliancy . Coordinate/lead internal process related to risk & opportunity analyses of potential projects as offered in the customer proposals. Coordinate/lead internal review and approval process for estimates and customer proposals. Expedite and coordinate support for proposals and estimates from various competencies (internal and external Honeywell) such as business operational teams (engineering and project management), legal & contracts and third party procurement to complete tenders as required Support follow up with Sales Teams and Lines of Business on proposals being issued to customer , prepare customer clarifications and proposal revisions when required and support until final contract closure and internal booking package preparation. Apply the Honeywell global estimating processes and tools to ensure consistency (and sharing) within the organization Ensure all Honeywell proposals and sales project files are in accordance with Honeywell standards and processes Maintain high level of knowledge of the marketplace, technology and application trends. Contribute where possible to a high rate of success on bids Qualifications: Engineering degree Microsoft office tools and other business level applications, Familiar with products and solutions within Industrial Automation market, Fluent German, English, other language are appreciated. Native Czech language is highly preferred but not an absolute requirement.
