Mission statement

Safety, Security and Quality are the ultimate goals of the Austrian Airlines Group (AAG). 

Austrian Airlines, Lauda Air and Tyrolean Airways are committed to make every reasonable endeavor in order to ensure these goals are achieved for the benefit of each customer and employee. 

Within the working culture of Austrian Airlines, Lauda Air and Tyrolean Airways all employees support these endeavors by performing their tasks safely, securely and in the highest quality possible. 

Our commitment is to foster and support a Safety, Security and high Quality Culture including provision of necessary resources within Austrian Airlines, Lauda Air and Tyrolean Airways that identifies risks to the operation and workplace and proactively and predictively deals with these issues before they lead to accidents or incidents. 

In order to accomplish this goal the following Company principles shall be followed:

  • All Austrian Airlines, Lauda Air and Tyrolean Airways employees, from highest management to frontline employees, are responsible for establishing, within their area of responsibility and/or working environment, the highest levels of Safety, Security and Quality;
  • All Austrian Airlines, Lauda Air and Tyrolean Airways employees, from highest management to frontline employees, shall comply with all applicable Safety, Security and Quality regulations and guidelines as well as Company policies and procedures;
  • Austrian Airlines, Lauda Air and Tyrolean Airways are committed to evaluate, implement and if required improve administrative, engineering, and operational processes in order to mitigate any risk for customers and employees;
  • In order to ensure Safety, Security and Quality, hazards are addressed, Austrian Airlines, Lauda Air and Tyrolean Airways have established and promote a Safety, Security and Quality reporting system that allows all employees to report any condition, action, or deviation from the defined standards which could adversely affect Safety, Security or Quality;
  • In order to ensure an effective reporting culture, Austrian Airlines, Lauda Air and Tyrolean Airways are committed to a non-punitive reporting system. This means that no disciplinary action will be taken against any employee for reporting a Safety or Security relevant occurrence or hazard except in cases of intentional non-compliance with regulations, Company procedures or standards, gross negligence or when a criminal act has been committed;
  • The Accountable Managers are committed to continuously improve our management system and culture
